Arthur died on 8 June 1918. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission grave registration entry for Arthur was ”HOGG, Pte. Arthur, 23572. 6th Bn. Dorsetshire Regt. 8th June, 1918.” (He was formerly Private 33022, Royal Fusiliers.) Arthur is commemorated at Pozieres Memorial - Panel 54 to 56, stone no. 48, B.
